HOCKENSMITH TAKES VOLUNTEER CHAIRMAN POSITION
The Committee was elated by Bill Hockensmith's announcement
to be the Volunteer Chair for restoration/operations.
The position is an essential responsibility to keep
the restoration efforts moving forward. Bill will be
contacting persons whom have expressed an interest in joining
the restoration effort , organizing the work force to tackle
various jobs, and working with other committees to provide
needed personnel and other logistics. Thanks Bill!
Dean Parrot volunteered his daughter Shannon to front end
the calls from volunteers and other organizational duties.
Thanks Shannon!
Susan McCue of Operation Pride volunteered assistance from
Operation Pride to assist Bill in compiling a database of
volunteers names, contact information and other information.

Having
a centralized database will provide all committees with a
unified base of workers available for planning restoration
efforts. Thank you Susan! |

of the wonderful meal, Dorian Walker, Committee Chairman,
presented on behalf of the Committee a $500 check to Michael
Riggs. Riggs managed the project and recruited the volunteer
chefs from the vocational school.
Riggs accepted the check and told the Committee that the money
would be divided among the volunteer chefs for the hours of
preparation each contributed to the Railfest luncheons.
Thanks Mike!
