2002 Christmas Parade

Our special guest Lawrence Vance a former Pullman Conductor on the L&N railroad from Glascow rides with truck owner Dick Webber.

The HRE BG Christmas parade float entry was part of the overall promotion for the first Festival of Trains.  See more on the Festival by clicking on the link on our Exhibits & Events page.

Braving the sub-freezing temperatures were our special conductors and engineers of the day riding in the toasty warm bed of Dick's truck.  Everyone had a lantern to wave during the parade (Helen Siewers said waving the lanterns was Ray Buckberry's idea as a ploy to keep everyone moving so the parade would end with all riders still able to move!)
