E8 Locomotive Restoration Project

The E8 restoration took place in Evansville with additional sheet metal replacement with steel donated by Modern Welding Company in Bowling Green and Owensboro. A visit by our “Official Friends Photographer” Chris Gadbois documented some of the progress as shown above. The challenges are evident but the result promises to be something that we can be proud of leading our consist.

The restoration was completed in October of 2008.
