Landscape Site Survey & Design

Mitchell Leichhardt and his nephew Mitchell Schott of Leichhardt Landscape and Garden Center are getting an idea of where the platform will be constructed in their landscape design process.  Due to the closeness of the parking lot, and the space required for the walking platform, special consideration is needed in preparing a landscape plan.

Leichhardt is excited about the railcar exhibit project and wants to make sure the site planning stage will enable enhancing the landscape design.  He has already made several trips to the depot to confirm depot site measurements and is preparing a master plan that will grow for future generations to enjoy.

"This is a project that will bring back memories to many people.  Although there's not much room for landscaping, we'll see what we can do to make this a special place," Leichhardt said.  "It certainly brings back memories to me of riding in a Pullman sleeper," he added.
