Field Trips & Student Tours

Historic RailPark & Train Museum

Visiting the Historic RailPark & Train Museum allows students to connect with the past, appreciate the engineering marvels of the railroad era and gain a deeper understanding of how railroads shaped the nation’s history and culture.

Educational Sites

RailPark

Climb aboard the restored railcars that include the E-8 Engine, Presidential Office Car, the Duncan Hines Dining Car, a luxury Pullman Sleeper and 1921 Post Office Car. As you tour through the railcars, stories unfold of a slower-paced era when railroad travel was a way of life.

Train Museum

Explore our two-story, self-guided, Museum filled railroading history! Ask the cook, engineer, and conductor questions. Discover the hobo code. Meet one of the famous Pullman Porters from the 1920’s and learn about the role the railroad has played in Bowling Green history.
