Polar Express Early TICKET Access for Members
The most magical time of the year is almost here, and we are excited to share details about the return of our beloved Polar Express Storytime. Each winter, families from across Bowling Green gather for this enchanting holiday tradition inside the historic railcars of the L&N Depot. This year, our members will once again receive a special benefit: early access to Storytime tickets.
Because Polar Express Storytime is a free community event with limited seating, tickets fill quickly every year. Early access gives RailPark Members the opportunity to secure their preferred date and time before registration opens to the public.
Important Dates for Early Access
- Member Early Access Registration: October 28–30
- General Public Registration Opens: November 4
During the early access window, current RailPark Members can register by phone or in person at the museum. After October 30, any remaining spaces will be made available to the community beginning November 4.
Polar Express Storytime is now in its 23rd year, creating memories for thousands of children who have walked through the doors of the RailPark dressed in pajamas and ready to hear a timeless Christmas story. Families enjoy a warm holiday atmosphere inside the Duncan Hines Diner railcar, with cookies, decorations, and a setting that feels like stepping back into a classic Christmas scene. It’s a special experience many families look forward to all year long.
Because the event is hosted inside a vintage railcar, space is limited. Early access ensures that members who support the RailPark throughout the year can count on having a reserved spot without the rush.
With early access approaching, now is the ideal time to renew your membership or join as a new member. Memberships directly support the Historic RailPark & Train Museum, helping fund restoration projects, educational programs, and community events like Polar Express Storytime. In return, members receive exclusive benefits throughout the year, including free museum admission, discounts, and priority access to signature events.
If your membership has lapsed, renewing before October 28 ensures you will be included in the member early registration period. If you’ve never been a member before, this is a wonderful opportunity to join and experience all the benefits while supporting a local historic treasure.
