Congratulations! You have been invited to attend the NMRA Convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to support the sHOw Modular Railroad Club of Bowling Green, Kentucky! A quick refresher, the sHOw Modular Railroad Club is a model train club that hosts events to showcase their layouts. As mentioned in our part one blog about the sHOw club, they are looking to break a record. They will be attending the convention from July 27th to August 2nd. With them attending, they would love your support!
A little bit of background and information on the NMRA Convention. NMRA stands for National Model Railroad Association. It is compiled of a group of staff, members, and volunteers who curate the exposure of model trains and layouts. The NMRA is a non-profit corporation that has multiple districts, each serving its region to help clubs thrive.
They sponsor a convention for members to continue their association with the hobby. The convention is not just for members to enjoy; it’s for train lovers and spectators alike. The National Train Show will take place on Saturday and Sunday and will feature 880 modules. It’s a great getaway for a family trip as Chattanooga is only 3.5 hours south of Bowling Green. Attending the convention helps fund the clubs, hold records, build relationships, and enjoy the models, of course.
